Dayprints

Use Web Push reminders

Best-effort Web Push is available on both plans. Free can register up to two browser devices; Plus can register up to five. Simply opening Dayprints never registers a browser: registration follows a deliberate action such as Add this device, starting a Session while its alert is enabled, or turning on the end-of-day review reminder.

Open notification settings and choose Add this device. Dayprints asks for browser permission only after that action, identifies the browser and platform in the device label, and turns Web Push on after registration succeeds. Use Test notification to test enabled channels, pause or resume Push without removing devices, and remove a device when you no longer want delivery there.

When the Free two-device allowance is full, See Plus for more devices opens Settings → Plan & billing inside Dayprints. Remove a registered device before adding another, or upgrade for up to five.

On iPhone and iPad, Web Push requires iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later. Follow the iPhone or iPad installation steps, starting from Dayprints' app sign-in page, then open that installed app, add the device, and grant permission. A normal Safari tab cannot complete that flow.

Push is useful for ordinary task prompts, but delivery can vary with the browser, operating system, network, and power state. It should not be used for emergency, medical, or safety-critical timing. Dayprints describes reminders as arriving around the chosen time, not at an exact guaranteed second.

Each registered device can be revoked separately. Removing a device stops future delivery to that browser; expired endpoints are removed from active delivery rather than retried indefinitely.

Still stuck?

If you can sign in, open Settings → Send feedback; your report includes technical details automatically. If you cannot sign in, email support@dayprints.app. Include your device, browser, and what happened; you do not need to include private task details.

Receive an end-of-day review reminder

Open the End-of-day review sheet. The Review reminder switch and Reminder time picker are on the sheet itself, not in Settings. Choose a time in your profile timezone.

The reminder uses best-effort Web Push, which is available on Free with up to two registered devices. It does not use your active task-reminder allowance.

Dayprints checks today's review again just before sending. If you have already completed it, the reminder stays quiet. It also stays quiet when you did not use Dayprints and had no task planned for that local day.

If no Push device is registered, turning the reminder on first asks to add the current device. If that device cannot be registered, the setting stays off.

Receive a Session completion alert

The Alert me when this Session is completed checkbox is on by default when you start a Session. If no device is registered, starting the Session can ask for notification permission as that deliberate action. The alert uses Web Push and is best-effort. The alert arrives even if you are in Dayprints when the Session ends; the end-of-day review reminder, by contrast, stays quiet while the app is visible. Dayprints rechecks the Session before sending: ending it before the planned end suppresses the alert, while reaching the planned end keeps the due alert even if the Session is then completed or cancelled.

Keep Push selective. If the in-app prompt already reaches you at the right moment, another surface may add noise rather than value.

Put this into practice with Dayprints. Plan what matters today and collect a dated artwork for each day you finish.

Install Dayprints

Free on every plan. Web Push needs the installed app on iPhone and iPad, so install first and add the device from there.
