Install Dayprints as an app
Install Dayprints without an app store. It is free on every plan. When a newer deployed build is available, Dayprints offers Refresh.
Before you install
Installation adds an icon and opens a standalone window without changing your account or data. Start from the Dayprints app link above, not from this help site.
You do not have to sign in first. When installation is available, Dayprints shows an install option beneath the signup form and, if email confirmation is required, again on the confirmation screen. On iPhone or iPad, the option opens the Safari steps below. The offer does not appear when Dayprints is open as an installed app.
After you sign in, Settings → Install app is available immediately. Automatic installation guidance waits until at least one task has been completed, after the brief completion and Undo feedback has cleared. It never appears over the first-run value explanation.
On supported Chromium browsers, Dayprints may show an Install Dayprints suggestion that opens the browser's confirmation prompt. On iPhone or iPad, closing the automatic guidance the first time snoozes it for seven days. When it returns, choose Don't remind me again to stop automatic reminders. Settings → Install app remains available.
iPhone or iPad
Before Safari's Share menu opens, the ribbon shows Share, View More, then Add to Home Screen.
- Open Dayprints' app sign-in page in Safari. You do not have to sign in first.
- Open Settings → Install app → View steps, or use the guidance card.
- Tap Share in Safari.
- Tap View More or scroll down if the full action list is hidden.
- Choose Add to Home Screen.
- Confirm the name, then tap Add.
If Add to Home Screen is still missing, scroll to the bottom, tap Edit Actions, and add it to the Share menu.
Android
- Open Dayprints' app sign-in page in a supported Chromium browser such as Chrome. You do not have to sign in first.
- Tap Install Dayprints when Dayprints offers it, or open Settings → Install app.
- Confirm the browser prompt.
You can also open the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
The exact label can vary by browser and device.
Desktop
Open Dayprints' app sign-in page in a supported Chromium browser. Use Dayprints' Install Dayprints suggestion or, after signing in, Settings → Install app. You can also look for an install icon in the address bar or Install Dayprints in the browser menu.
If no option appears, keep using Dayprints in the browser or save a bookmark. Dayprints will show Installed in Settings when it is already running as an installed app.
Still stuck?
If you can sign in, open Settings → Send feedback; your report includes technical details automatically. If you cannot sign in and the install option is still missing after following the steps for your device, email support@dayprints.app. Include your device, browser, and what you see instead.
Use installed-app shortcuts
On browsers and operating systems that show PWA shortcuts, open the installed Dayprints icon’s shortcut menu to choose Add task or Start focus. Add task opens the task sheet; Start focus opens Sessions so you can choose a task and duration. Both shortcuts require a connection, and the shortcut menu itself may not be available on every device.
Share into Dayprints
When the app appears as Dayprints in another app’s share sheet, select it to turn shared text or a link into a new task. The task is an ordinary active task and counts toward your active-task limit.
If you are signed out, Dayprints sends you to sign in instead of adding the task. After signing in, share it again.
Offline and privacy
After Today loads while you are signed in, Dayprints keeps a small read-only copy of that day on the device. If you lose connection, the installed app shows the day as it last loaded and the time the copy was captured. If the date has changed, it labels the saved day as an earlier date instead of presenting it as today.
Offline, tasks cannot be completed, added, or changed. Those controls are visibly unavailable until you reconnect. This saved copy is cleared when you sign out.
